About the project
Storyby is an entertainment tech company building an AI-native ecosystem around original stories. Ideas are developed into an Originals Library of books and serialized reads, validated by a large reader audience, and the strongest titles move on to the screen as films and series with recognized acting talent attached.
When we joined, early growth had exposed two bottlenecks: onboarding lost too many new readers before their first story, and content delivery latency made a reading-first product feel slower than it should. The team needed engineering that could fix both without pausing the release calendar.
What we did
01
The path from first visit to the first finished read was rebuilt end to end:
02
Latency in serving a large originals catalog was engineered out:
03
Growth stopped being a guess — every release ships with measurement:

A typed Next.js front end on top of PostgreSQL, deployed on AWS — chosen for iteration speed first and a growing content catalog second.
When you need it
If any of these sound familiar, a short discovery call is usually enough to scope the team, the plan and the first milestone.
